A 43 Years old male patient suffering from painful left Hip for last 1 year was diagnosed as a case of advanced Avascular necrosis of left femoral head by Dr Pankaj kumar, clinically and radiologically by MRI.
There was history of High dose of steroid during Covid infection, which probably lead to Avascular necrosis of femoral head and secondary arthritis of hip, making walking painful with limp. His daily routine activities were affected.
He was operated with Uncemented Total hip replacement (ceramic on poly) at Max Super Speciality Hospital, sector 128, Noida.
He was mobilized with walker next day and was able to walk without any support after 7 days ,there was no pain and limping .
Arthritis of hip due trauma, infection, avascular necrosis of head can be managed successfully by Total Hip Replacement surgery.
