A 42 years old male from Noida extension, presented with intrarticular fracture of middle phalanx of little finger of left hand.
As fracture was comminuted intra articular so iinstead of using simple k wires, Suzuki frame of External fixator was applied as it is dynamic fixator allowing patient to actively move finger after surgery.
It prevents joint stiffness and with dsitraction, fracture heals well and patient achieves good range of finger movement.
Suzuki Frame is simple and cheap implant to fix comminuted intra articular fracture.
