A 30 Years old female presented to Dr Pankaj Kumar with painful swelling over dorsum of wrist for last 6 months.
Swelling gradually increased in size and affected her wrist movement and was painful.
Ultrasound confirmed clinical diagnosis of ganglion, under anesthesia Ganglion was excised and sample sent for histopath.
Soft tissue swelling around wrist is coomon presentation of ganglion, as it is connected to joint, surgical excision and closure and capsule avoids recurrence.
Aspiration and steroid injection are not useful method to treat ganglion as recurrence rate is high.
