K wiring (closed reduction) for paediatric wrist fracture
A 13 years old child came to Dr Pankaj Ortho Centre sector 77 Noida following slip and fall while playing in society. Xray showed fracture of distal end raduis and ulna with angulation, as deformity was within unacceptable limit.
It was fixed with closed reduction and k wire fixation by Dr Pankaj Kumar.
Paediatric fractures are usually managed by plaster but some cases where fracture angulation is unacceptable, should be operated by minimum invasive technique- k wiring.
